What is your cancellation policy?
1. No Refunds for Cancellations: All sauna bookings are non-refundable. Once your booking is confirmed, the full payment is due, regardless of cancellation or no-show.
2. Rescheduling: We will try our best to reschedule your booking if given more than 48 hours notice. Cancellations or requests to reschedule made less than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment will not be eligible for a refund or rescheduled session.
3. No-Show Policy: If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, the session will be forfeited, and no refund or rescheduling will be offered.
4. Emergencies and Exceptions: In exceptional cases (e.g., medical emergencies), please contact us as soon as possible. While we cannot offer refunds, we will assess whether a one-time exception to reschedule is possible, at our discretion.
What services does Heal Saunas offer?
We provide authentic wood-fired sauna experiences, changing tent, and cold showers for contrast therapy at our forest location in Thetford. You can book either a 1 hour communal sauna session or a 2 hour guided sauna ceremony. Heal Saunas is also available for private hire.
What time should I arrive before my session?
Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your booked session to allow time for a briefing. Note, arriving late will shorten your sauna. 5 minutes has been added, to include time for changing.
What do I need to bring with me?
Please bring 2 towels (one to dry with and one to sit on in the sauna), swimwear, water and any personal items you may need during your visit.
Are there changing facilities on site?
Yes, we have a basic changing tent by the sauna for privacy before and after your session. We have a cold shower also. There are toilets on site at High Lodge Thetford Forest.
How long should I stay in the sauna?
We suggest 10-15 minutes in the sauna followed by a brief cold plunge/shower, repeating this cycle as desired, while listening to your body's signals.
What are the benefits of sauna and cold plunge/shower?
Alternating between heat and cold can improve circulation, boost the immune system, reduce muscle soreness, and promote relaxation and more benefits.
What should I know about health considerations before a sauna?
It is advisable to consult with a healthcare professional if you have any medical conditions or concerns. Stay hydrated and listen to your body's limits during sessions.
What is the age limit?
Under 16's to be accompanied by an adult. Nobody under the age of 16 is permitted to use the cold plunge.
